June 25 | Written By Kirsten Moreton

Faded Shades are an up-and-coming indie trio, hailing from Kent in England. Following their debut just before the pandemic, the group are back and better than ever with their latest release ‘My Place (Or Your Place)’ which dropped on March 17th, 2023. The energetic track is a new release that indie-pop fans will no want to miss, having been described by the band as ‘a reflection of the preparation and dedication the band have been putting into developing their sound and growing their fan base since the trio first hit the scene.’

‘My Place (Or Your Place)’ kicks off with a punchy guitar before shifting into a softer verse, accompanied with perfectly fitting vocals. The song tells the stories of nights out and romance, with the tracks dynamic sound reflecting this perfectly. Overall, the track is chilled out, with nostalgic melodies with just a hint of melancholy, perfectly reflecting the songs themes of bitter-sweet romance. The track makes for a great listen in any situation, the lighthearted melodies fitting in well with a hangout with friends, the nostalgic themes fitting a moment of reflection and the relaxed pace of the song being perfect for anytime.

This track is a must listen and a fantastic way to kick off and welcome in the new week.
