The Music Mag was founded in December 2022 by Kirsten Moreton and Cameron Mackenzie who set out with the goal of creating a space for fellow music lovers, and a platform to support up and coming musicians.

Kirsten left school and began studying music with the aspiration of becoming a music journalist with particular interest in supporting small bands, having previously been in them. Upon meeting, Kirsten and Cameron bonded over their passion for both music and writing and decided together to create The Music Mag.

Today The Music Mag covers all things music, from blog posts to gig reviews, we do it all. Our team of passionate writers work hard at creating exciting content for our readers, including our Weekly Feature which brings our audience a new release every Sunday! So check it out. With plenty of songs reviewed and blogged about, there is something for everyone on The Music Mag.
