At the heart of Sun Stags’ musical odyssey lies their newly released self-titled EP, a compelling piece of music which takes the listener on a captivating sonic journey through the realms of psychedelic rock. Glasgow based trio, Ossian Spencer-Lohr (Multi-instrumentalist), Barney Cameron-Sproull (Bassist) and Tom Mooney (Drummer and Guitarist) compile a collection of tracks exploring the bands evolution, from their humble beginnings in the Cairngorm mountains, to their present days on the bustling streets of Glasgow. As the self-titled ‘Sun Stags’ unfolds, a tapestry of emotions come to light, captivating the senses, and leaving a lasting impression.

Unveiled to the public on July 30th, 2023, Sun Stags expand their creative horizons through incoherent recording methods and experimental techniques to bring together an amalgamation of tracks old and new to showcase their growing talent.  ‘Sun Stags’ is remembered for its haunting beauty, creating a spectrum of moods which beckon listeners to immersed themselves in its emotional depth. 

Opening the doorway to the ‘Sun Stags'’ universe, ‘I Think So’ masterfully entwines ethereal melodies with otherworldly vocals, instantly sparking an aura of intrigue. The ambient instrumentation casts a spell, conjuring an enigmatic aura and feeling of elevation, showcasing Sun Stag’s ability to enchant the senses.

Contrasting this dreamy enchantment, the penultimate track 'Transcend' takes a grittier approach with its heavier rhythm, the emotive lyrics wrapping the audience in a cocoon of contemplation. This track etches an ethereal imprint that lingers long after the final notes have faded away.
