Eighty Ninety is an indie-alt-pop NYC-based duo consisting of brothers Abner (vocal and production) and Harper (guitar and production). Over the past few years, the duo collated various singles which have now gone viral such as ‘Your Favourite Song’, ‘Three Thirty’ and ‘10K Summer Nights’. The singles featured in the 'Browery Beach Road' album collection have gained significant popularity in terms of streaming numbers across various platforms. The duo has already accumulated over 30 million streams and over 70K monthly listeners on Spotify. The duo's music has caught the attention of influential artists in the industry, including Taylor Swift. Taylor even featured 'Your Favourite Song' on her Spotify playlist 'Songs Taylor Loves'.

'Browery Beach Road' explores the emotions of romance, new love, heartbreak, change, and redirection. The collection is certainly intimate and personal. The duo perfectly complements each other with Abner’s strong pop vocal ability and Harper’s flow on the guitar instrumental. The album speaks to those who have experienced the intense emotions of falling in love or going through a heartbreak.

'Your Favourite Song' is a melodic tune that captures the blissful emotions and happiness of falling in love, as well as the melancholic feeling when the relationship ends. The lyrics: ’I have this picture that I took of you, the sky is clear, and your eyes are blue, I caught you laughing like you used to but it’s starting to fade’ highlight these contrasting feelings. The beat, harmony, and overall sound of this song are super memorable and can be heard instantly in the intro.

Eighty Ninety 'Browery Beach Road'

The band's highest streaming single is 'Three Thirty', which peaked at number 2 on Spotify's global viral chart. This song describes a former lover and reminisces on the good times that were spent in the relationship. This is the kind of song that makes you think back to a happy time and connect to your younger freer self. This is highlighted by the lyrics: 'If I could go back to the foot of your bed, well, I would memorise every word that you said, and I really notice the weight of your head'. This song essentially summarises a former strong bond between two individuals which most people listening also will find very relatable.

The album features a captivating and melodious track called ‘10K Summer Nights’ as its opening song. The lyrics reminisce about a past lover and the positive experiences shared during the romance. Abner's vocals sing of the lover's striking blue eyes that shone like stars in the sky, and how they danced together like carefree kids under the disco ball's headlights. The lyrics express a desire to spend ten thousand summer nights with this special someone, as they were meant to be together forever.

Overall, Eighty Ninety combines a unique and promising sound that blends pop and indie genres exceptionally well as displayed on ‘Browery Beach Road’. They have the potential to become mainstream, and many of their songs in the ‘Browery Beach Road’ album have already become viral. You will enjoy their music if you like meaningful storytelling and alternative pop by artists like Owl City and The Fray. Be sure to join Eighty Ninety as they expand and grow their presence.
